Polycarboxylate-ether superplasticizer also known as concrete waters reducer. This superplasticizer is made up of polyoxyethylene–ether macromonomer as well as unsaturated and sulfonic acids group monomers by radical polymerization. Polycarboxylateether superplasticizer for concrete can be applied with high water reduction, low slump loss, and is widely available in superfluid self compacting, high strength high-performance concrete, and commercial concrete.
Superplasticizer admixture
Superplasticizer made of polyoxyethylene long chains with high-density Sulfonic Acid groups. The comb-shaped structure gives cement a better dispersion rate and lower water consumption.

Superplasticizer Admixtures
(1) The superplasticizer admixture provides high dispersibility, and extremely high water loss rate (water removal rate can be more than 35%), which is a prerequisite for high-quality concrete.
(2) Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer, is an important concrete additive. It can reduce concrete viscosity and provide concrete with good cohesion.
(3) With water-reducing admixtures concrete can be produced with excellent strength and volume stability. It also has outstanding corrosion resistance, impermeability, resistance to freezing, carbonization resistance, and freeze-thaw resistance.
(4) Superplasticizer Admixtureshas wide compatibility to Portland cement.

Superplasticizer dosage in concrete
Normal dosages are 0.5%-1.0%. This is calculated using the cementitious content. Experiments should be done to determine the optimal dosage based on engineering characteristics.
It can either be added to concrete mixer as a separate ingredient or dissolved in water.
It can be combined with high plasticity water reducers, lignosulfonate reducers and other retarders.

Superplasticizer for concrete admixture
