AlSiC in large quantities can be processed, but the technology used to process it depends on whether there is silicon carbide present. AlSiC is able to be plated in nickel, gold or tin. The surface can also anodized. The AlSiC can be brazed together with the ceramic metalized substrate. The printed-circuit board core can also be bonded by adhesive and resin to AlSiC. AlSiC has a high airtightness. Airtightness is affected by the type of coating and the welding. AlSiC has isotropic mechanical and physical properties.
