What is Aerogel Powder?Aerogel has the world's lowest density. The density is set at 3 kg/m3. Kistler and his friends first created the silicon gel aerogel in 1931. This is the solid with the lowest thermal resistance and it is expected to replace polyurethane as a refrigerator insulation material. Silica Aerogel can become a high temperature thermal insulation material by adding titanium dioxide. The thermal conductivity of the material at 800K only is 0.03w/m*K. This will be further developed to become a new supporting product for military products.

Aerogel powder in energy storage devices
After sintering the organic aerogel gel, it will turn into carbon aerogel. This conductive porous carbon material is a newly developed carbon material after fibrous active carbon. The material has a large surface (600-1000m2/g) as well as a high level of conductivity (10-25s/cm). Moreover, the density of this material varies from 0.05 to 1.0 g/cm3.
