The Game
Album: The Doctor’s Advocate
Release Date:
November 14th 2006
Label: Black Wallstreet records

The Game is back in the lab working on a follow up to The Documentary. His first album was a huge success and Game isn’t looking to change his winning formula too much.

The album’s name, The Doctor’s Advocate is a reference to the rap pioneer Dr. Dre who essentially "found" The Game, according to the rapper himself. It is expected to have much of the same producers that his first album had, including Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Cool and Dre. However, there has been much speculation on whether Dr. Dre has contributed to the making of "The Doctor’s Advocate."

The album was originally intended by The Game to be released on June 6, 2006. The release date, however, had been pushed back several times and is now scheduled to be released on November 14. The album is rumored to feature appearances by artists Snoop Dogg, Nas, Dr. Dre, Damien Marley, Lauryn Hill, Keyshia Cole, Mary J. Blige, and Ice Cube among others.

The Game has claimed that he has written everything on the album, including the hooks. He has also said that his sophomore album possesses a rawer, more N.W.A. sound to it.

The Game released a street single off of his new album called "It’s Okay (One Blood)" on July 24. Following its release, the rapper collobarated with his photographer and personal friend Jonathan Mannion to create a video for the song. According to manager Jimmy Rosemond, the song recieved a favorable response, inciting the camp to shoot a video for it.

Popular UK DJ, DJ Semtex, visited The Game in a Los Angeles studio and had a chance to listen to five tracks in consideration for the final track listing. He revealed that Dr. Dre had indeed worked with the young rapper on the album. He also confirmed two tracks produced by will.i.am with one featuring Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas. In addition, Semtex mentioned a song produced by Just Blaze featuring Marsha of Floetry and Nas, and a track produced by Dr. Dre with Dr. Dre supplying vocals along with Snoop Dogg.

On September 20, 2006 93.5 KDay Radio premiered The Game’s single Strip Club (Let’s Ride). The Game’s Single is scheduled to officially drop September 25, 2006.
