Terror Squad
Album : Terror Squad the album
Release Date : September 21, 1999
Label : Big Beat

It is a shame when you think about it, the original terror squad which consisted of Fat Joe,Big Pun,Cuban Link,Prospect,Armaggedon,Triple Seis and Tony Sunshine were in my opinion a serious up and coming group, their album is full of great tracks which did not stray from their formula of hard mobb deep type beats and hardcore rhymes. Pun is to no surprise the star on this album, his rhyming abilty outclasses everyone but saying that both Cuban Link and Armaggedon showed great promise that even after puns death these two could have held it together as serious rhymers ;Prospect and Triple seis both put in a decent effort while it is clear that Tony Sunshine has a great singing voice.

Fat Joe on the other hand is quite hit an miss but he was never that potent rhymer to begin with. The new TS unfortunatly due to a falling out within the group Cuban Link and Triple seis both left replacing them remy ma now represents part of the new terror squad which is just a shadow of it’s former self. on the whole if you liked big puns debut album you may like this but if you bought the second TS album first and is expecting to hear another album with tracks like their single lean back then forget it, this is for hardcore hip hoppers only.
