Ruff Ryders
Album : Ryde or Die Vol 2
Release Date : July 4, 2000
Label : Interscope Records

Review :
The Ruff Ryders camp is at it again. After Eve and Drag-On’s solo projects, the crew is hitting heads with their second group LP, a sequel to Ryde or Die, Vol. 1. Ryde or Die, Vol. 2 is a Swizz Beatz-produced compilation that sounds a lot like video games. Whereas the crew’s first LP featured DMX prominently, this one includes hardly any songs with the dog himself, Eve, or most of the original Ryders.

Ryde or Die, Vol. 2 seems to be more of an opportunity for junior rhymers of the double-R, such as Yung Wun, to show their skills. Vol. 2 also gives listeners a chance to hear guest appearances by favorites such as Twista, Snoop Dogg, and Scarface. One song that stands out of this solid effort is the Sheek (of LOX), Redman, and Method Man banger, "2 Tears in a Bucket." —Vanessa Satten
