Ferndale police announced Tuesday morning that an arrest has been made in a shooting death at the studio where rap star Eminem recorded his first mainstream album.

Terrence Terrell Moore, 36, was arraigned in 43rd District Court in Ferndale on a charge of first-degree murder.

Moore is charged with the murder of Amjed A. (A.J.) Abdallah, 36, the owner of Studio 8 at Eight Mile and Woodward.

On the night of Jan. 2, Moore knocked on the studio door and Abdallah let him in. The pair began to argue over studio fees. It ended with Moore pulling the trigger of a .357-caliber handgun, unloading two bullets into Abdallah, said Ferndale Detective Lt. Norm Raymond.

A customer visiting the studio on Jan. 4 discovered Abdallah’s body in the first floor entryway.
