Lil Kim close to signing with Interscope Records
Rapper Lil Kim is close to finalizing a deal with Interscope Records. SOHH.com reports that the rapper is in the final stages of negotiating a lucrative deal with the powerhouse label whose roster also includes 50 Cent, Pharrell Williams, the Black Eyed Peas, Jadakiss, Lloyd Banks, and others.
Lil Kim and 50 Cent have had their problems in the past when 50 Cent refused to promote their 2003 hit record, "Magic Stick." 50 Cent would not perform the song with Lil Kim or appear in the video.
According to sources close to Lil Kim, the rapper is planning a winter tour and hopes to release a new album by next summer. In the meantime, the rapper recently released a mixtape, Brooklyn For Life, with Maino and Papoose.
Lil Kim has been
on the outs with her label Atlantic Records since her last album, The Naked
Truth, tanked while she was in jail.
