Lil’ Kim is set to reveal the "NAKED TRUTH" on September
27th, when her eagerly anticipated fourth solo album hits the streets.
Lil’ Kim has already given her fans a first look at "NAKED TRUTH" via the advance buzz track "Shut Up," which is lighting up radio mixshows across the country. The timely and provocative track finds Lil’ Kim openly confronting her critics, especially those who spread gossip and rumors about her life. "You ain’t paying my bills, so you ain’t sayin’ nothing," she raps in the song. "Ain’t keepin’ it real then you need to stop frontin’... Get your facts straight or shut up bitch."
On "NAKED TRUTH," the Queen Bee collaborates with a line-up of today’s hottest hip-hop producers, including Kanye West, Scott Storch (T.I., R Kelly, 50 Cent, The Game), 7 Aurelius (Mariah Carey, LL Cool J), Fredwreck (Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill), Hot Runner (Eve, Cassidy), and Red Spyda.
Lil’ Kim’s new album
follows 2003’s "LA BELLA MAFIA," which made its Billboard 200 debut
at #5. That collection included the top-charting smash, "Magic Stick,"
as well as the hit singles "The Jump Off" and "Thug Luv."

Most female rappers aren’t up to par with their male counterparts. However, Lil’
Kim is one of the few exceptions. The Naked Truth is a true testament to what
female rappers should be spitting out, the result being one of best rap albums
of all time. The Naked Truth has already been critically acclaimed and this may
be due to the fact that Lil’ Kim finally kicked sex to the side and is now focusing
on real issues in her life, giving justice to the title of her 4th album.
From the get-go she takes no prisoners, taking on past collaborator 50 Cent and the Junior Mafia in "Spell Check" and continues on with people like the paparazzi and Star Jones in "Shut Up B**ch". Kim also tackles life on the streets in "Lighters Up", recent law affairs in "Slippin’", back stabbers in "My N*ggas", and repeats throughout. But of course a Lil’ Kim album wouldn’t be complete without a couple of sex tracks, which is a major part of what built Kim’s career, and this is where "Gimme That" and "Kitty Box" comes in. But this doesn’t even begin to bring the album down when compared to the critically labeled sophomore slump of Notorious K.I.M.
But the album’s true shining stars are "Quiet" featuring The Game, where Kim where Kim calls out Foxy Brown with "Jacki-O proved you far from a fighter/ Comin’ at me b---- you’re playin’ with fire/ I aint gon’ come back at you, I’m comin’ at your ghost writer." Kim also spits this so aggressively it’s as if she was from the school of Eminem. The other best track would be "Last Day". As opposed to "Quiet" which is Kim as her highest defense, in "Last Day" she let’s her guard down and lives up the album title, giving the `naked truth’. This is evident leading the second verse "Besides God what the f--- should I fear/ The only one who could stop me is that chick in the mirror/ ... Cause what don’t kill me can only help build me/ Guess all that dirt just made me more filthy/ If being loyal’s a crime then I’m so guilty/ If you was missin’ your spin you’d still have the feel me." It’s track like these that got her the 5 mics in Source magazine.
This album has no filler, even with weak cuts such as "Durty" and "Kronik" feat. Snoop Dogg they are still strong joints. This is without a doubt her best album to date, even more so then her ground breaking debut album Hardcore back in `96. One may have been worried that sense this was released right before she went to prison it would be mediocre, but one can put those worries to rest. This album is without a doubt one of the best album’s of `05, of all time, and an instant Hip-Hop classic. "JoMo"

This is fo sho one of her best albums. 5 mics for it was well deserved. I know this is one of the most perfected albums and it is unfortunate that she ain’t out yet to be enjoying this hype given.
