Review :
I have loved Kelis since day 1. She always comes out with stuff that is so new
and fresh. Innovative beats and her provocative lyrics always keep you wanting
more.
The beats on this CD do not disappoint nor do the lyrics. However, the lyrics are not as steamy as what she is normally known for. But, good, none the less. Kelis does know how to keep it raunchy in a few of the songs though. The hotness lays with the first hit single : "Bossy" featuring Too $hort - a GREAT rack with a very catch/synth beat and strong bass line with the lyrics being on point. Kelis refers to her 2 biggest hits on this track : "Caught Out There" and "Milkshake" - genius ! "Blindfold Me" is another sexually charged song with another catchy hook and beat to match. Also has a great rap by her Husband, Nas. "Aww S***" - another trademark Kelis song that has an original sound to it and her in your face street lyrics. Makes you want to hit the dancefloor !
Some of the other songs are songs that have a sound like no other song that has appeared on any of Kelis’s previous efforts. A welcomed change. On "Goodbyes" it’s a slower, mid-tempo song with some good emotional lyrics. A very good song. Nice piano. As well as "Lil Star" - a lower song with a nice meaning behind it. "Weekend" Featuring Will.i.am is a real nice, feel good song with a very infectious, uplifting beat with fun lyrics. "I Don’t Think So" has a real nice guitar riff in it and it also showcases Kelis’s strong, rough side. Remarkable song !
This is a very strong CD. You can tell she has gone through a lot of change in the time between this CD and Tasty. She has held on to her roots while branching out and trying some new sounds at the same time - that is a true artist.

Well if any of u r gonna read dis as I can see Im the only 1 here for now, this album is real good but wont be as good as wanderland or Tasty mainly becasue how could she part company with Pharrell. I mean come on, he and offcorse Chad are the main reason behind her success man.She gone suffer without the Neptunes beats real hard and its gona fall flat on her face.the best track is Circus with a credible moving beat and lyrics.the chorus is dope.Trust....
