Duck Down Records has a rich history in hip hop. Headed by Buckshot (lead MC from Black Moon) and long time partner Dru Ha the label has put out albums by Black Moon, The Boot Camp Clik, Heltah Skeltah, O.G.C., Smif N Wessun, Cocoa Brovaz (distributed by Priority Records 1995-Present) and a variety of independent singles as well. Combined album sales exceed 2,200,000 soundscan units and Duck Down brings over 7 years of record industry experience to the table.

Duck Down specializes in managing artists, supervising and producing the recording of primarily rap records and than marketing these finished records by means of radio (college and mixshow level), video, publicity, and alternative Street Team Promotions. Duck Down prides itself in the ability to recognize and more importantly develop and groom new talent to become the successful artists of tomorrow.

Unlike other production deals that saturate the recording industry of today, Duck Down is more than a logo. While typical "label deal" scenarios find the Production Company producing the record and than handing the ball off to their distributor for promotions and marketing, Duck Down produces finished records and serves as an effective Marketing source or capable marketing compliment to the distributors plan. Duck Down has developed and maintained strong relationships with many of the most powerful DJ’s in the country, radio personalities, video show programmers, & publicity music editors in the business.
