Cool & Dre bubbled under the surface of the rap industry for a while, producing stray tracks here and there before breaking big in 2005 with a run of hit records including the Game’s "Love It or Hate It," Ja Rule’s "New York, New York," and Fat Joe’s "So Much More." The Miami-based duo earned recognition for its steady affiliation with Fat Joe in particular, for whom the guys produced a number of tracks before scoring any major hits.

Those productions caught the ear of industry insiders, and soon the two were fielding production requests from some of the industry’s most recognized rappers, especially once "Love It or Hate It" became one of 2005’s defining songs. Needless to say, the phone was ringing and the press was quick to crown Cool & Dre as the next Neptunes.

Cool and Dre recently worked with Eazy E’s son, Lil Eazy E on a song called "Gangsta Shit" which will appear on his forthcoming album, Prince of Compton. The album is expected in 2006. Cool and Dre also produced the rising single "Rodeo" that is featured on Juvenile’s 2006 The Reality Check. They have also started their own label, called Epidemic Records, which is distributed through Jive Records.

The duo have also recently opened La Dea restaurant and lounge in South beach with co investors with Usher and Big Boi of Outkast.

Cool and Dre one of the best producers in the rap industry,they sound is alway different ,can’t tell sometimes if they produced a track unlike some producers for example swiss beats and N.E.R.D all use the same drums and sounds. looking forward to more of there work in the near future such as dre album and The game’s new album Doctors Advocate which they had give him two heat rock (tracks) one with Mary J blige (they calling it- Hate it or Love it part 9000) Lay you Down and Street Ryders which is going to be Big !!!.
