Young Jeezy arrested

Young Jeezy was arrested in South Beach, Florida, early Friday morning (March 10) and charged with two counts of carrying a concealed firearm without a permit.

According to the Associated Press, Jeezy was arrested after an alleged shootout in South Beach involving some members of his entourage. Jeezy was reportedly with a group of men who were involved in a fight around 5:30 a.m. Friday. When a passer-by filming the scuffle refused to hand over his video camera, one of the men in the group began shooting.

A police spokesperson told The Miami Herald that Jeezy and about nine other men fled the scene of the shooting in two SUVs and when officers stopped the cars a short time later, they found a semiautomatic firearm under Jeezy’s seat and discovered another gun near the armrest when they searched his SUV. A Miami Beach Police Department spokesperson could not be reached at press time to confirm the account.
