Buck Denies Dissing G-Unit
G-Unit rapper Young Buck performed at the WHAT-FM Twelfth Annual Birthday Bash in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday (June 16th). Allhiphop.com reports that during the concert Young Buck told the crowd about his new label, Cashville Records, but some members of the audience took the rapper’s comments as anti-50 Cent and G-Unit because Buck said that "50 didn’t share," a reference to 50 Cent’s multi-million dollar annual income.
Buck’s co-manager Sixx explained the rapper’s comments. He said, "All (Buck) said when he got on stage was that he was trying to make Cashville Records the next G-Unit ’cause 50 cent didn’t share (those millions). He was joking, talking about the vitamin water deal. I guess I can see how they might have misunderstood, but he definitely wasn’t dissing. There’s no beef."
According to published reports, there’s been tension between Young Buck and 50 Cent since Young Buck had a conversation with former G-Unit member The Game in attempt to settle their beef.
While the two men may not be on the best of terms, in the past Young Buck shared how the two met and how he impressed 50 Cent. The rapper said: "I think 50 seen a, like, southern artist could stand beside him with it, you know what I’m sayin’? And I was playing a record though for him that he was constantly, like, he was, like, crazy about. And it later on being ’Bloodhound’from Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. That was a record that I had already had on my own. He liked the record so much, he was, like, ’I gotta have that.’"
Buck added: "With
him putting me on the album and being involved in the circle he was around,
Eminem,
Dr. Dre.
I felt like damn! I’m nobody homie. See what I’m sayin’? So the realness is
like speaking for him off naturally. He not even knowing, he’s just being him.
I’m knowing this is the cat, where I need to be."
