Wyclef Jean Sued By Jacob The Jeweler
Jacob "The Jeweler" Arabo filed a lawsuit against rapper Wyclef Jean on Tuesday (July 29) claiming he is owed over $300,000 for jewelry.
The Associated Press is reporting that Jacob’s Jacob & Co filed papers in a Manhattan court claiming that Jean built up a bill of $765,100 between March 2002 and January 2006 on his tab with the jeweler. Jacob says the rapper has paid part of the bill but still owes $319,680 for several watches and jewels brought during the period.
Arabo was recently sentenced to 2 1/2 years in federal prison for laundering over $270 million of drug money for the Black Mafia Family (BMF).
He is set to begin serving his sentence in January.
