Webbie, co-author of 2007’s hottest rap song, "Wipe Me Down," will release his sophomore album, "Savage Life 2" on February 26. The disc will feature appearances by Bun B, Young Dro, Birdman, Lil Boosie and Foxx. His first single, "Independent" featuring Lil Phat and Lil Boosie, currently sits at No. 11 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Webbie is planning a national promotional tour beginning in late January or early February.

Signing to Baton Rouge, La.’s Trill Entertainment record label, launched by Mel, Turk and the late Pimp C in 2003, Webbie initially garnered national attention with his 2005 single "Give Me That" featuring Bun B. The song peaked at No. 8 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart.

Last year’s "Trill Entertainment Presents: Survival of the Fittest" compilation, featuring Webbie, Lil Boosie, Foxx, Shell, Soulja Boy, Lil Phat, Big Head and Mouse has sold 130,000 copies to-date.

Webbie has announced details of his eagerly anticipated new album, "SAVAGE LIFE 2." Highlighted by the hit single, "Independent (Feat. Lil’ Phat and Lil’ Boosie)," the set drops in stores and online on February 26th. "SAVAGE LIFE 2" sees the Baton Rouge-based rapper joined by such hip-hop luminaries as Bun B, Young Dro, and Birdman, along with a number of his Trill Entertainment/Asylum/Atlantic labelmates, including Lil’ Boosie, Foxx, Big Head, and 3 Deep’s Mouse, Shell, and Lil’ Phat.

The production line-up is equally impressive, with studio contributions from Mouse, Mannie Fresh, B-Real, and BJ. Along with "Independent," the album includes such future singles as the upcoming "Missing You."
