Timbaland hopes the second time is the charm

In spite of the moderate success that super producer Timbaland had with such artists as Bubba Sparxx and Ms. Jade on his Beat Club label in the late ’90s, he eventually shut the label down. He’s since launched a new label, Mosley Music Group (MMG) in conjunction with Interscope/Geffen/A&M. So far, the label is off to a great start as its first release, Nelly Furtado’s Loose, entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at Number One.

Timbaland said that "Mosley Music Group is a label where the doors are open to all kinds of music."

Next up from the label is the debut project from singer-songwriter Keri Hilson who has penned songs for Mary J. Blige and the Pussycat Dolls in the past.

Timbaland has also been busy on the production side. He’s working with Justin Timberlake on his forthcoming album, FutureSex/LoveSounds.
