Teairra Mari
Album : Roc-A-Fella Records Presents Teairra Mari
Release date : August 2, 2005
Label : Roc-a-Fella

Review :
Jay-Z didn’t make a mistake with this very talented young star. On her debut, ROC-A-FELLA RECORDS PRESENTS TEAIRRA MARI, Mari proves that she can sing very well. She makes a contemporary R&B album that is nearly/ just a good as Beyonce’s DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE and give Beyonce a run for her money. Like Amerie, Mari chooses to be sexy and contemporary.

At 45 minutes, this album is just the right length because it has consistency to it. Everyone of the songs for the most part are hits and this album would have no problem releasing any number of these songs as the next single. The production is flawless and works well under Mari’s voice which is never understated(via J. Lo, Ashanti), yet never overstated. She sings just right adding a tasteful amount of nuance to these dance/pop influenced tunes.
