Busta’s Video Shoot Argument Recorded

A 53-minute audio recording of the argument that led to the fatal shooting of BUSTA RHYMES’ bodyguard Israel Ramirez on the Brooklyn, New York, set of the rapper’s "Touch It (Remix)" video earlier this month has reportedly surfaced. According to the New York Daily News, the recording captures the voice of the still unknown gunman, who calls Rhymes a "bitch," and confirms that recently incarcerated G-UNIT member TONY YAYO was central to the altercation.

Busta Rhymes, who has yet to speak with the NYPD about the shooting, apparently tries to make peace between Yayo and the third party. The Daily News’ source is currently shopping the audio recording to media outlets. Both the Brooklyn district attorney and the NYPD have issued statements asking the source to come forward with the much-needed evidence.

Although the shooting, which reportedly took place outside the studio, is not audible, the moments after are. "You can hear screaming and the chaos and the 911 call," the source told the Daily News. The recording is reportedly being shopped to various media outlets for the price of $50,000 ; the tape has not been previewed by police as of yet.

Police, who are becoming growingly frustrated at witnesses for not cooperating in the investigation of the murder hope that the person in possession of the tape will have a different point of view about providing information.

“I hope the person who has this tape or video would cooperate with authorities, especially if it provides evidence in this case,” said Jerry Schmetterer, spokesman for the Brooklyn district attorney. “It’s totally irresponsible of this person to withhold what could be a vital piece of evidence in an active homicide investigation,” said a NYPD spokesman said yesterday.

Ramirez was recently shot and killed outside Brooklyn’s Kiss the Cactus production studio on February 5, where Busta rhymes was filming a video for the remix of his single, "Touch It." No one has yet been charged with the slaying of Ramirez, 29. Busta Rhymes and other witnesses to the shooting have refused to speak to police.
