T.I. was arrested in Georgia on Wednesday (May 10) for a probation violation, just two days after he spoke at the memorial service for his personal assistant Philant Johnson, who was gunned down in Cincinnati last week.

T.I., born Clifford Harris, was arrested in a Georgia courtroom after he appeared in court accused of threatening several men outside an Atlanta strip club.

The rapper was informaed of a warrant for his arrest in Florida that claims he failed to complete the required number of community service hours set out in his probation agreement.

The probation stems from an altercation in September 2003 at a Florida mall involving T.I.’s entourage and several security officers in which the rapper is claimed to have struck one of the officers. Harris was ordered to perform 225 hours of community service in 2005 following a guilty plea to charges of battery on an officer and violating the terms of his probation.

Just a few months later T.I. was arrested in Georgia for driving with a suspended licence, violating his probation, which resulted in an additional 150 hours of community service.

According to he latest Florida arrest warrant, the rapper has only completed 10 hours community service, however, his lawyer, Dwight Thomas, insists T.I. has completed over 75 hours.
