Snoop’s Blue Carpet Treatment Pushed Back
Snoop Dogg was originally set to release his eighth solo album "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" on October 19 ; however, the set will now be released on November 21 via Doggystyle/Geffen.
The album features production from Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Rick Rock and the Neptunes and includes guest appearances from Stevie Wonder, Ice Cube, The Game, Brandy, R. Kelly and MC Eight.
The West Coast veteran will premiere the video for his lead single "Vato" next week featuring Cypress Hill’s B Real. Snoops said the song was written to promote unity among Blacks and Latinos in California. "It’s about time we start to fight for each other rather than fighting against each other," says Snoop. "I have homies from all cultural backgrounds and love all of my brothers, black and brown. There is nothing that can stop us from creating a better future for ourselves, for our families and generations to come if we all came together."
Tha Blue Carpet
Treatment will be the follow-up to 2004’s R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta) : The
Masterpiece, which bowed at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.7 million
copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
