Snoop Dogg & Dogg Pound shoot new video "Real Soon"
Snoop Dogg, Nate
Dogg, Kurupt, and Daz visited a women’s prison earlier this month, but it wasn’t
to see an inmate. The rappers were on hand to do a video for their new single,
"Real Soon." Ballerstatus.net reports that Snoop Dogg and company
shot the video on November 9th at the now-closed Sybil Brand Institute in Los
Angeles. Snoop Dogg said, "It’s a beautiful thing. We and the Dogg Pound
are just mashing and that’s how it supposed to be."
Kurupt added, "It’s bomb. We’re real family, so it’s just like a big-ass
family reunion, man. As soon as we got back together, it was like it never ended
(in the first place). It’ll be a cold day in hell for anything like that to
happen again."
The video is dedicated to those serving time behind bars, in particular Stanley "Tookie" Williams, the Crips founder and author, who is currently on Death Row awaiting execution.
"Real Soon"
is the lead single from Welcome To Tha Chuuch: Tha Album, Snoop Dogg’s latest
compilation, which will be released in conjunction with Koch Records on December
13th. The song will also be included on the Dogg Pound Gangsta Click album,
which will be released early next year.
