Snoop Dogg Could Face Lawsuit for Smoking in Middle East

Snoop Dogg is known to partake of the peace pipe on most days that end with "y," but it seems the Dogg Father’s smoking habits have now landed him in a bit of trouble overseas. Middle Eastern concert promoter Roger Kalaouz plans to sue the West Coast rapper for over $280,000, claiming that Snoop’s weed smoking at a 2009 show in Beirut has landed him in hot water with Lebanese authorities.

The alleged illicit activity is said to have taken place at a crowded afterparty and has since been immortalized on film in a scene from the video for Snoop’s single "That’s Tha Homie." Kalaouz says police in Lebanon have used the incident to crack down on him and his company, leaving his reputation "severely damaged," TMZ reports.

In his lawsuit, Kalaouz also claims that he was promised a position as Snoop’s exclusive booker for the Middle East, but the rapper and his people have failed to make good on their word.

TMZ reached out to Snoop and his reps but they have declined to comment.

The rap superstar is currently on the road touring with rap rookie Wiz Khalifa on The High School Tour as they promote the soundtrack to their upcoming film Mac & Devin Go to High School.
