With their 1996 debut Nocturnal on Duck Down Entaprizez, Brooklyn based Ruck and Rock make up the hip-hop duo of Heltah Skeltah with their anthems of attacking rappers who talk about nothing but themselves.While the Average Hip Hop Fan is quick to point out that Heltah Skeltah is dope because the tall guy with the deep voice is nasty. It is the Hip Hop and Boot Camp purist who have come to appreciate Heltah Skeltah, not just for Rock’s commanding delivery and powerful verses, but for the cleverness and often underrated word played verses of the other half of Heltah Skeltah; Ruck aka Sean Price.

Sean Price is as skilled as any with the Mic. With 2 full lengths already under his belt: Nocturnal (1996) and Magnum Force (1998), Sean Price is setting off his solo career at the same place he began it: Duck Down! On this first double sided 12" single Ruck who is blessed with production from Aguilar, creates the hypnotic A side "Don’t Say Shit to Ruck." Strictly for the hip hop heads Ruck kicks 3 verses and manages to stir up a bit of controversy in the hook. The B-Side "Solidify" is a more up tempo song complete with more tongue twisting lyrics from Ruck. While fans may have to wait a bit longer for the next Heltah Skeltah album, Ruck delivers a tasty 2 sided appetizer for the headz that can’t wait.
