Saigon And Prodigy Involved In Physical Altercation

Saigon and Prodigy of Mobb Deep have been involved in a war of words since February, but the beef became physical on Wednesday night (September 19th), at the album release party for Mobb Deep’s Havoc at New York’s S.O.B.’s nightclub.

Following an impromptu performance, Saigon and Prodigy exchanged words on stage. Saigon struck Prodigy twice before running out of the nightclub. On his MySpace page, Saigon explained that Mobb Deep simply had too many people with them for him to safely stay in the venue.

Two different videos depicting the incident are being circulated on the web. One from Saigon’s camp shows the rapper punching Prodigy while the version released by Mobb Deep shows Saigon hiding under a table and losing his watch as he fled.

Saigon wrote on his MySpace page, "I know you all are seeing this YouTube video of like 25 Mobb Deep n****z chasing me out the club...And hell f***ing yeah I dipped up out of there untouched...But that was after I snuffed little punk ass Prodigy."

The rapper added, "They can edit it and lie all they want but when you hear the n***a say ’Oh’the first time is when I rock him... right before you see my man rock him. The second time is when my man rocks him... I rocked him first, that’s what makes the kid with the red hat try to get at me and got everybody hype. Why didn’t they slow down that part? If you notice I punch Prodigy right into my man’s hands...And f**k yeah I got up outta there...Them n***z was 30 deep and I went to their party, grab the mic, did my song and punched Prodigy in his face.. ..I’m not with the promoting violence s**t and we could’ve kept it between us, but these a**holes go make a Youtube video talking about I was hiding under a table and all this s**t...Editing and lying about a watch."
