A former member of the Platinum Selling Group City High, Toby will be performing singles, “Just My Thang”, “All I Do”, and “Come Back”, from his highly-anticipated solo debut, “Soul Of A Songwriter” which will hit shelves on August 29th.

"Temple Bar is excited and proud to present Ryan Toby, “says Dexter Story, owner of Temple Bar. “Recognized as an amazing live performer, Toby brings a wealth of songwriting and recording success that gives him an edge above the competition. We are very much looking forward to a memorable event."

After penning numerous hit songs for today’s top artists, "Soul of a Songwriter", is undeniably his best work to date. The debut solo album will be released under Toby’s own imprint, Overflow Entertainment in a joint venture with Mass Appeal Entertainment, and distributed through Universal/Fontana. Written and produced entirely by Toby himself, "Soul of a Songwriter" is a modern tribute to timeless songwriting and quality music

Regarded as one of the most "sought-after" songwriters in the music industry, Toby began his career playing a high school student in the 1993 Disney/Touchstone hit motion picture "Sister Act II: Back In the Habit", starring Whoopi Goldberg and Lauryn Hill. Soon after the success of the film, he was hand-picked by Will Smith to work on his forthcoming album, "Big Willie Style", writing hits such as "Miami", "Don’t Say Nothing", "I Loved Her", and "Candy". Toby then went on to meet Wyclef Jean who formed City High with Ryan, Robby Pardlo, and Claudette Ortiz. The self-titled debut album, released in 2001 was certified platinum and garnered a Grammy Nomination and Billboard Award. After the group disbanded, Ryan continued to add to his discography by penning hits for multi-platinum artists, such as Mary J. Blige, Brian McKnight, LL Cool J, Joe, Nick Cannon, Chris Brown, Bobby Valentino, Tyrese, 112, Amerie, and Lionel Richie, to name a few.
