After all of the doubts, Royce went independent and found glory back in the underground. Death IS Certain was an album this year that went to the grind days of 94. The sound of darkness, heavy strings and guitars with fire lyrics. A sound that talk about the other side of life that hip-hop does not speak on nowadays. To me that was a classic album. Now he is back with the M.I.C Mixtape, which is pretty good. He is trying to get his crew heard around the nation, which is never a bad thing. He tries a couple of new ideas on the album as well (Switch and 52 bars). Overall, it’s a mixtape, I’ll be looking for the next album hopefully next year.
