Today (November 10), the ImageNation Cinema Foundation will premiere the ODB tribute film Dirty: One Word Can Change the World.
Directed by the rapper’s cousin - Raison Allah - the documentary commemorates ODB’s though personal interviews with the Wu-Tang Clan, Sunz of Man, Killarmy, the Black Knight, and the Brooklyn Zu.
In addition to the feature film presentation, movie-goers will be treated to a live performance from ODB’s Brooklyn Zu.
Following the film, members of Brooklyn Zu, Wu-Tang, and author Terrie Williams will chronicle Dirty’s musical legacy along with important information on mental health and substance abuse prevention.
Ol Dirty Bastard, born Russell Jones, died of a drug overdose in November 2004.
Dirty: One Word Can Change World premiers Tuesday (November 10) at the National Black Theatre, located on 2031 5th Avenue (125th and 126th streets).
Tickets are $15 (advance) and $20 at the door.
