Nelly preps the release of Brass Knuckles

Nelly will release Brass Knuckles this fall

St Louis native Nelly has announced a release date for his first album in three years entitled Brass Knuckles. This new album should be out in stores October, 16.

According to various reports earlier this year, Nelly has been looking to Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and even Bruce Springsteen for his new album.

Confirmed featurings at this time include T.I., Akon, Snoop Dogg, UGK’s Pimp C, Babyface and Avery Storm who have all join Nelly on the mic.

The first single leaked called Wadsyaname follows Nelly’s tradition of allowing his Midwestern accent and slang to spill into his lyrics and spelling.

This track was produced by Neff-U. Another track supposedly on the album, Cut It Out featuring Pimp C and the Youngbloodz’s Sean P., was released unofficially as the street single.

While Jermaine Dupri will produce an important part of the album, Pharrell Williams and Bryan-Michael Cox are among the project’s producers.
