Nate
Dogg
Name : Nathaniel Hale
Hometown : Long Beach, CA
Nate Dogg Biography :
Nate
Dogg is without a doubt was the most under-rated member of the Death Row family.
Shining on Death Row’s Record label were Snoop, Dre, Tha Dogg Pound and
Tupac but the man who put the sweet sounding chorus’ and soothing lines
into the songs was practically unheard.
Nate Dogg grew up in Long Beach, California amongst the everyday goings on of
the streets. However, the community in which Nate’s family were amongst
ie the people that his parents usually associated with were church-going folk
who tried to shield away the realities of the streets around him.
When Nate dogg was a teenager, he hooked up with the now famous
Snoop Doggy Dogg and Warren G. to form the group 213, that
constituted the birth of the G-Funk era. They called themselves 213 after a
favoured group of theirs at the time which were Richie Rich’s 415.
After high school Nate decided to go on into the military, to be exact the Marines.
He said that the reason for this was "I wanted to see if I was a man."
While in the Marines Nate was given a very boring task to do, he became a munitions
specialist, which meant that he had to wake up at 5 am every morning, to check
that ammunition stocks were the same daily. Nate had to count each and every
bullet, grenade etc.
After the Marines, Nate returned to Long Beach and approximately a week after
he had returned he met up with Snoop and they re-established 213.
Nate dogg has been in court a few times, most of which have
been a case of mistaken identity. Nate was accused of robbing Taco Bells, Check
Changers etc. and during the period before one of the trials Nate Dogg wrote
the track ‘Never Leave Me Alone.’ He was certain that he was going
to be imprisoned and so Nate sat down, amidst 45 minutes of deep thought and
a beat supplied by Kurupt, Nate came up with the lyrics and created this track.
Nate dogg was also sure that if he had have been imprisoned,
the track would have blown up. The track did quite well, but not as well as
it would have done if he was locked up. The first track (that I know of) that
Nate Dogg featured on was Thug Life’s ‘How Long Will They Mourn
Me ?’ the track was by 2pac and featured Nate
dogg’s singing in the background and at the chorus.
Nate dogg, for basically his whole career on Death Row Records
was the man with the thought conjuring voice who sang on all the artists tracks
who believed they needed him, he only had a chance to shine on two tracks of
his own while on Death Row, they were ‘One More Day’ which was featured
on the ‘Murder Was The Case’ soundtrack and ‘Never Leave Me
Alone.
Nate Dogg was actually set to release an album on Death Row
in 1996 entitled ‘G-Funk Classics : Volume 1’ the album surfaced
in Europe and certain parts of the USA for a very short period of time and has
been bootlegged heavily.
However, those of us who do not own a bootleg are still
eager to get an original copy of this album if possible, the album is said to
feature (amongst others) 2pac and Tha Dogg Pound.
The album was constantly being delayed and it seemed that Death Row was beginning
to loose its former stature in the hip hop game. 2pac was dead, Suge Knight
was jailed, Kurupt had left and there were rumours that Snoop
was leaving so Nate left. Nobody knows the actual reason why Nate dogg
left Death Row records other than him and the workers at Death Row, but since
leaving Nate has started his own record label.
Nate released the double album ’G-Funk Classics : Volumes 1 & 2’ July 21st
1998. The album featured many different artists but unfortunately didn’t do
too well in terms of sales.
Nate dogg made a comeback on Snoop’s ’Top Dogg’ release with
the track ’Bitch Please.’ Nate was also featured on Kurupt’s album ’Tha Streetz
Iz A Mutha’ and Dr. Dre’s ’2001’ gaining him yet more exposure. He even guested
upon the high selling ’Marshall Mathers LP’ on the track ’Bitch Please II’.
Nate dogg, the soul man of G-funk, continued his reign as master of the hooks
throughout the millennium, lending his unmistakable charm to many top ten hits.
In 2001, Nate released his highly anticipated second LP Music & Me.

D, you’re georgeous, and have a lovely singing voice, and I have always been a fan of yours !, but I digress. I have been searching for a way to contact you, or to send you a friendly letter, for a while now. I have 2 young sons, Elijah, 14, and Nadjee, 11. I was told a long time ago that you are their cousin. I can only imagine how you all are related, but the boys love the idea that they are related to someone of your prestige. It would be through their father’s family. Not discounting your celeb status, but, to put that aside, I am seeking out any of their family members. It is not for ANY TYPE OF MONETARY GAIN, AT ALL. Its just for the simple fact that the boys & I are very close knit, they are getting older, and have none of their family members in their lives. We seek nothing more than just perhaps to find out if what I have been told about the kinship is true, and maybe a signed photo of yourself. I wouldn’t want to air any personal information about my boys, for their safety, over the net. So, if you get this, it would be great if you could have "your people" contact us, in one way, or another. If not, I understand. I’ll continue to let them have their pride about having a celeb, such as yourself, to look up to so that they know that they also have the type of "blood" in them that it takes to be great, and successful. I appreciate your time. KEEP SANGIN BEAUTIFULLY, SEXY !
