Nas Teams Up With Damian Marley

Nas is currently working on what many may consider to be an unlikely collaboration.

The Grammy ward nominee is gearing up for the release of a yet to be titled LP, featuring Damien Marley, the son of the legendary artist, Bob Marley.

“Right now, I’ll tell you first, I’m working on an album with Damian Marley, and we tryin’ to build some schools in Africa with this one, and trying to build empowerment,” Nas tells MTV during The Grammys.

“We’re tryin’ to show love and stuff with this album. So, the record’s … all about really the ‘hood and Africa also as well. That’s coming out real soon” he continued.

Nas and Damien have worked together once in the past. Nas appeared “Road To Zion” off Marley’s 2005 album, Welcome To Jamrock.

Though no release date has been confirmed, Nas says the album should be hitting stores this coming Spring.
