Nas New Album Pushed Back to February

Nas new album entitled N*gger was originally planned for a December release but according to his camp the album has been pushed to February with the first single dropping in January 2008.

This new N*gger album from Nas has already raised controversy within the Hip Hop community and the media. It also build a lot of anticipation among the fans and a snippet called What It Is recently leaked and was posted by various websites including Hip Hop Galaxy.

In fact it appears that Nas is still working out the album’s final track list. Atlanta’s DJ Toomp (T.I., Ludacris) and longtime Nas collaborator Salaam Remi have already contributed tracks, in addition to sounds coming from new producers. Diddy and his new Hitmen production crew are also scheduled to come onboard before production closes within the next weeks.

Nas himself clarified to MTV News yesterday that the track What It Is (that we posted right here) will definitely not be on the album since it is a fake blend made with some leaked vocals mixed with a random beat : "I never rhymed to that beat," he said.
