Customer Review :
N.O.R.E. (A.K.A. Victor Santiago) fifth solo album is "Noreality" (2007). It’s been over five years since Noreaga dropped a Hip Hop solo album, his reggaeton joint "N.O.R.E. y la Familia...Ya Tú Sabe" came out last year and "1 Fan A Day" unfortunately never saw the light of day. The Queens MC provides a thirteen track release which features guest appearances from J. Ru$$, Three 6 Mafia, Jadakiss, Kurupt, Capone, Final Chapter, Deacon, Styles P, Kayne West, GLC, Tru Life, Peedi Peedi & KC. The album starts with "Set It Off" feat. J Ru$$, the album’s lead single which is produced by Swizz Beatz. Next up is a collaboration with Three 6 Mafia on ""That Club ****", N.O.R.E. hums away harmfully at the beginning and end of the track and reps being the club closer, which Three 6 Mafia provides the background chorus. N.O.R.E. provides a hard hitting cut with "Throw ’Em Under The Bus" which features appearances from Jadakiss & Kurupt.
One of the better tracks on this release is "Cocaine Cowboys", N.O.R.E. touches down on a past joint ""Cocaine Business (Hysteria)", providing a new standout rhyming over some memorable production by Hazardis Sounds. N.O.R.E. partner in rhyme Capone makes his sole appearance on the solid "Green Light" feat. Final Chapter. N.O.R.E. and Deacon rhyme about having fun with women on Ecstasy with "Pop A Pill". N.O.R.E. & Styles P provide an upbeat track with "Sour Diesel" while showing their love for a type of Massachusetts Marijuana. N.O.R.E. puts the jokes aside for "Paternity Test" a serious track about trying to find out if a woman’s baby is his. The cut is laced with some mellow production from Kyze Beatz and N.O.R.E. shines when talking about something different then the typical. I would of liked to see more deep joints like this from N.O.R.E.
Kayne West & GLC drop in for the Boola produced "I’ma Get You", then N.O.R.E. talks about the importance of paying attention to the females on the crude "Eat P*****". Kyze Beatz provides some more distinct production on "The Rap Game", N.O.R.E. doesn’t take the track far though using a repetitive chorus. N.O.R.E. has a way of being serious and providing a humorous track at the same time another example of that would be "Drink Champ" where N.O.R.E. talks about out-drinking everyone, referencing a number of Rapper’s he has drank with. N.O.R.E. closes the album off talking about women’s love for "Shoes" backed by a chorus from singer KC. Lyrically N.O.R.E. is not the most gifted of rapper’s he wins his audiences over though by rhyming with a lot of charisma and providing track’s to bump. "Noreality" is a decent release worth checking out.
