review :
N.E.R.D., the group comprised of the Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, along with friend and collaborator Shae Haley, are ready to drop a new album, their first since 2004’s Fly or Die, in late June on Star Trak. Titled Seeing Sounds (in reference to a neurological phenomenon called Synesthesia, where senses cross so a tone correlates to, say, a color — read the insanely complex dissection at wikipedia), the band drew inspiration from the idea of seeing the music. So what took so long ? Williams, who recently wrapped a record with Madonna, told MTV last October that he was "just waiting for the right sounds," comparing making music to going fishing. "You fish for it every day, and either you get it or you don’t," he said. "And sometimes I have to wait. What I usually do with the N.E.R.D. albums is we wait a lot." But fans won’t have to wait much longer.

Been a fan of Pharrell and Chad from back in the day when they first started coming out and thats like 11 years ago now. I said back then that they will be one of, if no the best producers in the future and now look ?/they and ALc are the best for me and no one can beat them. Scotty, Timbaland,Dre etc, they all know it. yes this album isnt as good as In Search Of but that always happens where the 1st is the best. You cant mess with tunes like ’Am I high’ and ’Bobby James’. pure classics that I think they can never reproduce again.

On some real...i neva was a huge N*E*R*D fan...i always thought they was a little to rockish for hip-hop...but i was always a fan of "lapdance", "she wants to move", and "rockstar"...but this album "SEEING SOUNDS"...is bananaz...its unique...and sometimes you wanna hear some different music...tell you the truth...i think its better then lil wayne album...na...it is better...no diss to wayne...

Another good album by N*E*R*D. It is not on the same level as "In Search of.." (Which is a CLASSIC) but it is close ! It has several instant classics !! Thanks Chad, Pharrell & Shae !!
