For a few weeks now we’ve been buzzing on the site about Mr. Lif’s current workings. However, Lif himself has written a manifesto of sorts to explain what the ’I Heard it Today’ Project is really all about. With that said and without further ado, all we can say is that there will definitely be more to come...

The "I Heard It Today" project is so much more than just making another record for me. This project has truly given me new life in many senses, as I have not felt this inspired and focused in years.

We are living in one of the most amazing eras in American history. We have suffered through 8 years of an administration that placed the interests of the private sector far above those of the average citizen. The Bush administration began with the disaster of 911 and it’s ending with the disaster that is the housing crisis as well as the economic implosion of our country.

With a new administration on the horizon, many of us are hoping things will change for the better. We are all hoping our voices will be heard and our concerns met with solutions. This project allows me to voice and magnify what I understand to be the all too often ignored opinions of the American people. My research has led me to speak with so many American citizens nation wide, and the stories of your struggles combined with the knowledge of my own struggles have given birth to the project now known as "I Heard It Today".

I hope to raise awareness through these songs. I hope to inspire increased conversation about important topics. Maybe more than anything else, I hope to inspire whoever comes in contact with these songs to follow their dreams relentlessly and never quit. I present myself to you in this era as a man who has faced far more adversity than he ever thought he could handle. None of this would be possible had I not turned to the people who support me most and used their love as a platform to flourish.

All that being said, I am really embracing this new format of releasing my songs every 3 weeks. It challenges me to be consistently creative and highly critical of what I share with you in each edition. I continue to welcome your input on issues that affect you, your family, people you know, or any of us in the global community. I encourage you to share your thoughts with me through myspace, youtube, forums, and blogs. Your opinions will be taken to heart and will be accounted for as I continue my research.

To all my current and future fans, I hope that you enjoy the "I Heard It Today" project, and I thank you for yet another opportunity to pursue my dreams.
