I’ve been waiting for this cd for a while. I’ve been following Mobb Deep back since ’96. Been through all their albums, and if you’re just starting, I recommend picking up their "hell on earth" or "imfamous" before you go on with more albums.
If you want to listen to real gansta rap, not this crappy music they play on your local radio station today, then pick this one up. Mobb Deep hasn’t been as strong and as solid as they were back a few years ago, but still they don’t dissapoint. There are some great tracks, others are just average. Maybe Mobb Deep is just trying to "blend in" with today’s music maybe to get more sales. I beg them "DO NOT TRY TO BLEND IN !"
Mobb Deep is recognized ’cause of their music & gansta style. Don’t come up with poppy-rap...that one sucks. Stick to what you know best. Hell on Earth, Infamous, Infamy, Murda Muzik...
Mobb Deep rocks.
