M.O.P to leave G-Unit records
Billy Danze confirms that M.O.P. is in the process of leaving G-Unit
It’s not like
we’re moving away from G-Unit on bad terms, Billy Danze told HipHopGame.
What happened is that Laze (M.O.P.’s manager) and 50 had a conversation.
This was before I even started doing the Heve Medal project and the Behind Gates
project, which is my solo record. We’ve been over there three years and
we haven’t put a record out. We owe it to our fans to put a record out.
There’s no bad terms between M.O.P. and G-Unit. Nothing, nothing is a
problem or whatever. It’s just that we have to make sure everything is
good. This is business. At this point, there shouldn’t even be a record
deal. We should have a joint venture somewhere. We’re just going to go
out there and try to get some shit popping. Hopefully we’ll still get
to work with these guys and everything will be cool. As far as I know there’s
not no issues.
