Lloyd Banks’ "Rotten Apple" Delayed Again

Lloyd Banks was initially scheduled to release his sophomore album, The Rotten Apple, in July. The project was then pushed back to September and now — according to reps at the rapper’s label, Interscope Records — it won’t hit stores until October 10th. The album features guest appearances by 50 Cent, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Mobb Deep, Spider Loc, Timbaland, Scarface, Rakim, 8Ball, and Musiq Soulchild.

When we spoke with Banks, he explained the title of the new album. He said : "Just wanted to really take it back to New York City hip hop and, you know, remind people why this is where it started, you know what I’m sayin’ ? At the same time, the name Rotten Apple came from me just wanting to give them a little better insight of where the influence of my music actually comes from. It is New York City, Southside, Jamaica, Queens."
