Lil Wayne New Rock Album is heading for a June Release

After a huge success with his latest album Tha Carter 3 that has been certified 3x Multi-Platinum, Lil Wayne new album Rebirth is expected to mix hip hop and rock and has already generated strong expectations for his fans.

Two rock influenced singles have already leaked: Prom Queen released as a video and Hot Revolver.

“The fans should expect from the new album more electricity, more power, more everything, more me…It’s still me at the end of the day,” Lil Wayne explained in his recent interview with Soundcheck.

Rebirth is expected to be released on June 16, although recent reports state that the album may not be released until June 23 due to sample clearance issues.

“The influence of the new album is mainly rock, but again it’s me so I guess I’ll call it my rock,” said Lil Wayne.
