Lil Wayne isn’t going to jail, he just got one more month as a free man to take care of a dental surgery. The prosecution agreed yesterday that the rapper would receive better care with his own dentist than at Rikers Island.

Weezy is scheduled to receive dental surgery on friday in Miami and will need one week to fully recover. Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Joan Illuzzi-Orbon didn’t fight the rapper’s request to push back his sentencing, saying she had spoken to the dentist.

Lil Wayne pleaded guilty in October to a charge of attempted criminal possession of a weapon, admitting he illegally had a loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic gun on his tour bus in July 2007. Police found the weapon when they stopped the bus after a Manhattan concert.
