Lil
Wayne Cancels New York Show Again
Lil Wayne has canceled
a planned show in New York for a third time. The Lollipop hit-maker, real name
Dwayne Carter Jr., was originally due to perform in Rochester, New York on October
26th.
However the gig was pulled at the last minute because Lil Wayne was unhappy with the standard of the audio equipment. The date was postponed until December 6th- but that show was canceled when it clashed with Wayne’s rehearsal time in preparation for his U.S.-wide tour. And now the new date, scheduled for January 21st, has also been scrapped, with the star’s manager, Cortez Bryant, blaming logistical difficulties for Wayne’s third no-show at the event.
Bryant tells Allhiphop.com, "Now that Wayne’s doing these bigger shows, he wants to make sure that all of his fans are getting the same experience. It would have been too difficult to travel with the entire band, then turn around and head to Calgary the next day. We didn’t want the Rochester fans to get any less of a show because of logistics. We wanted to deliver the same caliber show we’ve delivered along the tour."
Bryant claims the hip-hop star has promised to add a new Rochester date to his I Am Music tour, which he is planning to extend until the end of March.
The tour kicked
off in Miami, Florida on December 14th.
