Lil Kim : Countdown To Lockdown
Lil’Kim’s new reality show Lil Kim : Countdown To Lockdown will premiere on BET on March 9th. The show will chronicle the rapper’s final days before turning herself in to serve a year-and-a-day prison sentence — including her emotional going-away party, which was attended by Mary J. Blige. The series will consist of six half-hour episodes and is executive-produced by Tracey Edmonds.
BET president Reginald Hudlin said, "It’s a very serious look at her life and her choices, and the consequences of those choices."
Last year, Lil’ Kim was found guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice for lying to a grand jury investigating a 2001 shooting outside of New York City radio station WQHT-FM. The rapper, who is serving her time in a federal detention center in Philadelphia, recently released a new single and video called "Whoa."
