Crunk Rock is the solo debut album by Atlanta based producer Lil Jon, originally
scheduled for release in mid-2006, rescheuled for the end of 2007, then "sometime"
in 2008. In November of 2007, he reported that the album was "65 percent,
maybe 70 percent done"."Crunk Rock" is now to be released in
the summer of 2009, as said on Lil Jon’s Myspace page. Crunk Rock features the
hit single "Snap Yo Fingers", featuring E-40 and Sean Paul of the
YoungBloodZ.
The second single is called "Act A Fool", featuring Three 6 Mafia. The song was available on Lil Jon’s MySpace page on Halloween 2006, immediately attracting listeners with approximately 580,000 plays in the first day. Before recording the album, Lil Jon severed his negotiation with record label TVT. The self-proclaimed "King of Crunk" has settled his dispute with his label. Two years ago, Jon vowed to never record for TVT Records again, citing that TVT owner Steve Gottlieb was shortchanging him
