Kool Keith To Return As Dr. Dooom with "Dr. Dooom 2" September 23rd

The legendary Kool Keith is set to return as Dr. Dooom with “Dr. Dooom 2,” out September 23rd on Threshold Recordings.

Long time collaborator Kutmasta Kurt handles all of the production with the exception of one track on “Dr. Dooom 2,” much like he did on the first Dr. Dooom album, 1999’s “First Come, First Served.”

Known for his classic work as a part of the Ultramagnetic MC’s, Keith has always been known to be one of the most creative, thematic MC’s in the game.

“To the critic’s who want to try and compare this album to the first Dr Dooom, F--- You!” Keith said.

A one time psychiatric patient at Bellvue, Kool Keith has displayed his hip-hop multiple personalities on the mic for years, appearing as himself, Dr. Octagon, Black Elvis, Dr. Dooom and more.

15 songs deep, Keith takes aim at everything on “Dr. Dooom 2” from the industry, Simon Cowell, fake rappers and their stale subject matter, and even his own alter ego, Dr. Octagon, who he kills on “RIP DR. Octagon.”

“Dr. Dooom 2” delivers exactly what fans of Kool Keith have come to expect from one of the most hip-hop’s most respected MCs.
