You’ll recognize the reflective tongue, Visible Air and clear rubber sole from the Air Jordan V as well as the lace locks, perforations and flex grooves from the AJ VI. But that’s just the beginning. Melo has added personal touches to the 5.5 such as the blacktop-textured outsole embossed with "Myrtle Ave." the Baltimore street where he came up. The tongue features Melo’s emerald birthstone, even the braided laces are inspired by his signature hairstyle.
