Jennifer Lopez Signs With Island Def Jam

Jennifer Lopez is back in business after departing from her record company in February - she’s joined the books of Island Def Jam alongside Rihanna and Mariah Carey.

The singer announced she was leaving Sony’s Epic Records after 11 years, despite a seventh album slated for release through the label in April.

Lopez was quick to shoot down rumors of an alleged feud between herself and Epic bosses, insisting the split was on "friendly terms."

Now, she has announced that a deal has been struck between her management and Island Def Jam, which is part of the Universal Music group, and is headed by music mogul L.A. Reid.

Lopez’s seventh studio album, Love, will be released through the label - which is home to Rihanna and Carey, as well as Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Amy Winehouse.
