Jay-Z’ new album producers
Jay-Z has spoken out about his eleventh album, the follow up to 2007’s American Gangster.
Contrary to reports made by Timbaland earlier this year, the Brooklyn-born rapper said that his new album will not be exclusively produced by the Justin Timberlake and Madonna producer.
Jay told Rolling Stone: “You know I love Timbaland, he is like a brother to me, but until the music is done it’s premature.”
Jay-Z has namechecked Kanye West as a possible producer for the LP - depending on whether the singer/rapper can come up with the goods.
Jay-Z tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I’m a person that works off music.
"If Timbaland makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album, if Kanye West makes 10 great tracks then he produces the album; if he makes three, I’ll take three. I let the music dictate the direction."
