Jay-Z and Snoop To Join Michael Jackson For Charity Single "From the Bottom of My Heart"

Michael Jackson has put together an all-star group to record a charity single for the victims of Hurricane Katrina which will include big names like Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey and James Brown. Raymone Bain, a spokeswoman for Jackson, says Lenny Kravitz, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Ciara, Missy Elliot, R. Kelly and Mary J. Blige and others are also involved in the project.

"Mr. Jackson is continuing to reach out to artists who would like to work with him on this project, which he humbly hopes will make a tremendous difference to all individuals who have been affected by this tragedy," Bain stated. Jackson is no stranger to charity work, back in the 1980’s his benefit single "We Are the World" raised around $60 million for African famine relief.

Bain says recording on the track tentatively title "From the Bottom of My Heart" is set to start soon.
