This weekend some of the world’s biggest urban artists will converge upon Hackney Marsh, North East London to take part in BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend. During the two day Olympic celebration artists such as Jay-Z, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, will.i.am, Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and many more will wow fans at the free to attend event.

The UK will host the Summer Olympics later this summer and Cllr Jonathan McShane insists such an event is the perfect opportunity for the country to celebrate during this incredible festival of music.

We’ve been working with Radio 1 to make the Hackney Weekend our biggest and best ever event.
