Jay-Z Blocks Release Of "The Black Book"
Jay-Z’s plans to release his autobiography "The Black Book" through MTV Books have been scrapped on request of the rapper over privacy concerns.
A deal was signed two years ago for a book to be written about the rappers life by hip-hop journalist Dream Hampton. "I know that people really want to know about me," the Def Jam Presidente revealed to Rolling Stone. "I thought I was OK with it, but as it got closer and closer, I said, ’What am I doing ?"
Writing of the book was completed, but it is highly unlikely that it will ever see the light of day.
